Auto

Coverage designed to help financially cover potential auto-related damages, loss or injuries to protect you and your car.

Auto Coverage consists of 2 basic types:

  1. Full Coverage – This type of coverage requires you to have Comprehensive & Collision coverage. Comprehensive covers your vehicle and other vehicles (in limited scenarios) you may be driving for losses resulting from incidents other than collision. Collision covers damage to your car when your car hits, or is hit by, another vehicle, or other object. Pays to fix your vehicle less the deductible you choose.
  2. Liability – This type of coverage is your bare minimum, state required coverage only. It does not give you Comp or Collision coverage. The two basic coverages it gives you is BI & PD, explained below:

Bodily Injury Liability (BI):

It is very essential for you to seek cover against the bodily injuries or even death caused to others for which you are responsible. The reason for this is that it will be beneficial for you and your legal defense when the other party involved in the accident files any law suit against you. To claim for bodily injuries you have to provide some important things such as medical bills, loss of regular income or pain and suffering. If you are involved in any severe accident, your insurance will be able to cover the judgment against you on a lawsuit without any loss of your personal belongings. Moreover, bodily injury liability only covers the injuries that you have in the accident but it doesn’t cover your vehicle. In order to cover your car along with your bodily injuries, you have to insure your car as well. Apart from this bodily injury, liability does not cover any injury sustained to you or your passengers in the car during an accident. The coverage of this policy is limited to the terms and conditions contained in this policy.

Property Damage Liability (PD):

This is a type of policy where you will be totally safe if your car makes any damages to the property of someone else. Usually it is their car, but it could be a fence, a house or any other property damaged in an accident. This policy will also offer you a legal defense when the other party involved in the accident files a lawsuit against you. It is always a better idea to buy enough insurance so that with the help of this insurance you will be able to cover the amount of damages made by your car to another vehicle or object. Also, the coverage is limited to the terms and conditions contained in the policy.
